Alma School Board Seeks Input in Superintendent Search
The Alma Board of Education has begun the search process to find a new superintendent. Assisting the Board is the Michigan Association of School Boards (MASB), a service organization that supports the work of school boards throughout Michigan.
As the profile of the ideal candidate is developed, the boards are soliciting community and staff input. Residents of the district, all staff and administration are encouraged to participate in the process.
An online survey is available at this URL:
Survey responses are sent directly to MASB in Lansing for tabulation. The Board will publicly consider the input received and develop a Candidate Profile, which will guide the process as candidates are recruited and selected for public interview. The board expects to select the new superintendent to begin July 1, 2021.
Mrs. Ingersoll, Superintendent of Alma Schools, will be retiring effective June 30, 2021. The board has hired the Michigan Association of School Boards (MASB) to conduct a search for our new superintendent. Dr. Rod Green, MASB Consultant, is working with our district. Dr. Green will be holding stakeholder engagement meetings via Zoom with teachers, support staff, administration and community members.
Dr. Green has set up a meeting specifically for community members via Zoom on Thursday, April 22nd at 6:00 p.m. See information to join this meeting below. We hope you will join Dr. Green to share your input.
