The Student Responsibility Center is a place at Hillcrest set up as a positive thinking area. It allows students who have chosen to disrupt to receive a time to think about their choices, create a behavior plan to help them make things better for future instances, and to allow them to correct their behavior.
Students are asked questions like "What are you doing? What are the rules? What happens when you break the rules? How do your choices affect others?" By asking these types of questions we allow the student to accept responsibility for their actions and process it in their own thoughts. After the student develops their plan they review it with the teacher to prevent said circumstances from reoccurring.
