I warmly welcome you to Luce Road Early Childhood Learning Center (ECLC for short). I have been in education for 20 years. My experience ranges from infants to adults.
My formal teaching career began when I graduated from Michigan State University with a BA in Elementary Education. I taught 3rd grade and then moved to 5th grade where I taught for 8 years. During that time, I earned my MA in Curriculum and Teaching. I then went on to teach preschool, college students, and teachers in educational technology. I also earned my K-12 administrator endorsement. I have also been the instructional coach for Alma Public Schools. I also founded and owned my own childcare center.
As an advocate for young children, it is my responsibility to support and maintain an environment that meets the academic, social, emotional, and physical needs of every single child in my care. I love to learn and I love learning with children! I believe that all children have the right to learn in a safe and nurturing environment, which is exactly the kind of environment we are committed to providing at Luce Road. We are committed to working closely with families to build trust, mutual respect, and cooperation. We are also committed to meeting the individual learning needs of each of our students, and know that in order to do this, we must have strong and on-going communication with our families.
I live in St. Louis with my family. My husband Glenn is the School Success Mentor at Luce Road. We have 4 children. We love to camp and watch Disney movies together.
As a school family, let us strive for EXCELLENCE in all that we do. Working with you and your child to provide the best possible education and learning environment is our goal. Quality, success, and pride of achievement will surround us when we make this commitment.
If I can help you get better acquainted with our Luce Road family in any way, feel free to send me an email, call or stop in.
