Today, I have the honor of announcing our Pine Avenue January Students of the Month! 

These students were chosen for this honor based on their behavior, effort and overall performance!  

Mr. Case - Tadala Store:
Tadala is a hard worker. She produces quality work on daily lessons as well as long term projects. Tadala is understanding with others and often finds ways to help those that need it. She will be a good leader in the future.

Mrs. Engel - Lydia Gilbert: 
Lydia is kind to everyone. She is a role model to other students and always follows her ROARS. She is also a hard worker who always does her best. I am so happy to have her as part of our class.

Mrs. Fornusek - Ivey Dacus
Ivey is a very kind and thoughtful fifth grader who works hard and consistently follows her ROARS. She does neat and careful work. She pays attention and stays on task during learning time. Ivey helps without being asked and sets a good example for her classmates. Congratulations, Ivey!

Mr. Kemler - Taryn Faylor
Taryn is doing such an awesome job this New Year! She has been working extremely hard and giving her very best each day. She is growing as a leader in her class and is making a positive impact to those around her. Keep up the hard work Taryn!

Mr. Nevins - Eve Northrop
Eve is a model student! She gives her 100% every day and with a smile on her face. Eve follows her ROARS daily, showing her classmates how a good, productive student should act and learn in the classroom. Keep up the great work, Eve! I'm proud of you!

Mrs. Oswald - Natalee Nguyen
Natalee is a kind classmate that always shows her ROARS. She is thoughtful in her work and always puts forth her best effort. She is a great role model as well as good friend to her classmates. I am proud of you, Natalee. Keep up the great work!

Mrs. Adams - Eli Sanchez
Eli is an excellent student! He worked so hard during remote learning! I could always count on him to be in every zoom meeting. He turned in all his work! We also appreciate Eli's positive attitude in face to face learning as well. He worked extra hard in his NWEA and raised his scores in both reading and math! Proud of you, Eli!

Mrs. Stephens - Ben Lippert
Ben is a great friend and student. He is a caring student who gives everything he has! He has been helpful in the classroom all through school and can always be counted on to help.

Ms. June - Nadia Higbie: 
Nadia always gives her best to every academic challenge. She is a great friend to others by always offering to help. 

Mrs. Adkins - Patience Letts
Patience is a delightful member of our class. She pays attention to lessons, and brings thoughtful questions and responses to class discussions. She is kind and respectful to her classmates and teachers, and brings her best ROARS to school each day. We are so grateful to have Patience as a part of our class!

Mrs. Lowe - Adyson Gulick
Adyson always has a smile on her face and a happy attitude about school. She works hard to keep caught up and always shows her ROARS.

Ms. Wilson - Braylie Bush
Braylie is such an amazing young lady. In class, she always gives 100% on every assignment and project. Braylie is such a kind classmate, and is willing to help and student or adult who needs it. Keep up the great work Bray, we are all incredibly proud of you!

Ms. Culp - Ely Terry
Ely started this month with many big changes and he has adapted to them like a champ! Mrs. B and I have seen him begin to really open up. He is funny, a huge history buff, and a very talented artist.

Music - Christopher Shearer
Chris has a strong love of music that he shares with his class. He is always so focused and ready for a challenge, while also helping others to understand and to do their job. Chris has a great sense of humor and is always helping us build our class community. Great work, Chris!

PE - Aubrey Bush
Aubrey is doing an excellent job in PE! She always tries hard, gives 100% effort, and has been a great student all year. Aubrey follows her ROARS and does an excellent job playing Gaga Ball.

Congratulations to all of these students and their families!  Keep up the excellent work! I cannot wait to see who is nominated for February. Keep practicing your ROARS and being great friends to others.
