We are excited for the Family Book Club to start tomorrow!!!! Here is the letter that is coming home today. Books and schedules will be coming home tomorrow!

On average Michigan has 15 tornadoes per year. Tornadoes are known to develop rapidly, with little advanced warning. The average lead time for a tornado warning is 10 to 15 minutes and winds can reach over 200 mph, which is why Michigan residents are encouraged to prepare and make a plan before a tornado strikes.
Each year during Severe Weather Awareness Week, a statewide tornado drill is held so we can practice our plan. Today was the day! Our staff and students did a great job! Make sure to practice at home too!

A huge THANK YOU to the Academy of Performing Arts for coming to do TWO performances of their Puss in Boots show! The kids loved it! It was so much fun!
