It is with the deepest condolences that I share the news that Alma Public Schools and the Alma community have lost a wonderful person today. Michelle Kelly, a former Kindergarten teacher at Luce Road, passed today after her battle with cancer. She taught in Alma for 18 years.
Please keep her family and our Luce Road family in your thoughts. Michelle meant so much to so many and will be deeply missed.

All families are invited to attend our annual APS Title 1 Informational meeting. See the photo attached for additional information.
It’s STEAM DAY!!! This activity started with listening to the book, “Ten Apples Up on Top.” They then engineered the tallest tower that could hold an apple on top.
We loved hearing kids working together this morning! We heard-
“I DID IT!”
“Want some help?”
“I can help you.”
“This is so fun. It’s time to clean up!”

We have been told to avoid Superior Street in the downtown/Alma College area this afternoon. As you adjust your route for pickup, know that we have your children here safely until 3:30 PM. Bus routes may be delayed. Thank you for your patience.
We love having our friends from the CBE class helping us with lunch.

Due to the rain, we will have 1st graders in the gym and kindergarteners under the canopy today at pick-up. Please be patient as we work to keep your kiddos dry and safe. Thank you!
Thank you to our Alma PTO for purchasing a set of rain suits and rain boots for our GSRP preschool. Today some of our preschool kiddos could try them out! We love this kind of learning!!! ❤️❤️❤️❤️

Sorting using nature!

Luce Road currently does not have power. Dismissal is the same as normal.
Love seeing math centers in kindergarten.

This performance will be streamed at the High School Auditorium on October 21st at 7:15 – we’ll have some folks from Alma College explaining the project and providing some brochures on the history of the Opera House. This would be an interesting event for parents to bring their students who are studying Michigan History. If you have any questions, please contact Sheryle Dixon at sddixon@alma.edu or (989) 463-7967.
