Thanks to Mrs Stephens for being our “reading referee” throughout the month of March! Students and staff alike loved the visits and new bookmarks issued.

MRS. C PROVES "BALD IS BEAUTIFUL!"
As students reached and blew past the 50 million mark, Mrs. Cruttenden, our library and media specialist, promised students that she would shave her head. As a woman of her word and for the love of literacy, Mrs. C shaved her head today! All classrooms watched live via Zoom and top readers for the month were invited to be "live" and in person. Aren't we so lucky to have great readers AND an encouraging librarian??? All for the love of literacy!

Whether you are staying home or traveling afar, we hope that your family has a relaxing and enjoyable spring break. We look forward to seeing everyone on April 4th!

Earlier this month, students in Ms. Wilson's class were able to redeem their "house points" to have a "read-in afternoon." Students were encourage to wear comfortable clothes, create inviting warm spaces, and bring a stack of books they wanted to get through. Forts were made, snacks were eaten, and many words were read!

Our 4th graders found so many ways to keep their brains busy during inside recess today. Love watching brains at work!
