Parents and Guardians, please know the City of Alma will close Pine Avenue next week (Dec. 11-15) for utility work. ALL Pine Ave. Elementary traffic must come from the SOUTH and EXIT to the SOUTH. All drives will be accessible at Pine Ave. To ensure parents have ample time for traffic, playground supervision for students will begin at 7:35 a.m.

Please be advised-
APS has been made aware that text messages have been sent out stating that it is "Stacey Criner" asking for donation gift cards. Please know this is a SCAM. I am not sending messages via text. We are not collecting gift card donations.
Due to bus driver illness, students riding bus G will be picked up an hour late today. If your child rides bus G, you will receive a call from the transportation department. We apologize for the inconvenience.

Thank you, PTO, for your partnership in educating our children. We appreciate your time and dedication to our students at Pine Avenue. Donuts with Grownups is one example of the many events they sponsor for students and their families. This event was a huge success!

Save the date! Pine Avenue Bookfair is December 4-7.

Looking forward to seeing all our Pine Panthers tomorrow for Donuts with Grownups. This event is sponsored by Alma Elementary PTO. Thank you for all that you are doing for our students.

Wishing all our Pine Panthers a wonderful Thanksgiving.

Scholars are learners and teachers. Scholars know that they are to be the change they wish to see in the world.

Mrs. Ferguson's students are engaged in partner work. Scholars are using coordinates to create a volcano map to visualize the Ring of Fire during our Birth of Rocks Science Mystery Lesson.

Pine Avenue students will kicks off its Anti-Bullying Campaign with an Anti-Bullying Spirit Week.

November is Homeless Awareness Month, and Pine Avenue wants to bring awareness of housing insecurity and homelessness within our communities. We are partnering with United Way to raise money for Gratiot County Hope House through a coin war challenge called “Coins for a Cause”!
United Way is committed to matching all funds raised (up to $10,000), so now’s your chance to double your donation! Students can bring in their spare change during November. The classroom that raises the most money will win a pizza party from United Way!

Have a great learning week!
