I would like to introduce Dr. Kathy Konowalow as our new Pine Avenue Principal. Her first day will be Monday, January 9th. Dr. Konowalow spent time today in the building meeting staff and students and looks forward to getting to know her new APS family.

Mrs. Fornusek’s class made 3D snowflakes today and they turned out cool ❄️. The students did a great job following directions and working together to help each other.

Science and engineering is embedded in literacy! Our 5th grade scholars are learning about the Wright brothers and the first days of flight. Through the discovery process, scholars built and tested their own airplanes in the hallway.



Alma Public Schools has received Elementary and Secondary School Emergency Relief Funds (ESSER) to address learning recovery from the impact of COVID-19. These funds are designed for one-time or short-term expenditures to address the ongoing impact of the pandemic.
Alma Public Schools is seeking feedback from all district and community stakeholders to help determine how the district should best utilize ESSER III funds to address unfinished learning and COVID-19 recovery.

In November, the Pine Avenue school community came together to raise funds, raising awareness of homelessness and housing insecurities in our communities. Monies raised during the "Coins for a Cause" campaign were matched by United Way - doubling our $514.63 raised, bringing the total contribution to $1029.26!
Winning the class pizza party was Mrs. Fornusek's 5th grade class! Way to go, Pine Avenue! Together, we can make a BIG difference!

Mrs. Adams’ class and Mrs. Pratt’s advisory - Panther pals - got together today to celebrate their friendships!
