Pine Avenue September Students of the Month!
We are excited to share our September nominees with all of you. We are proud of these students for showing their ROARS in many ways each and every day!
Laura Doyle: Laura has been a model student. We appreciate how she shares her writing and pushes herself to do her best in all subjects. It has been awesome to see her challenge herself in Prodigy and utilize scrap paper! We love that she participates in a positive way to our class discussion. Thanks for putting your best self forward, Laura!
Adelyn Kipp: Adelyn brings her ROARS to school daily. She works hard, puts forth her best effort, and strives to be a kind and thoughtful leader. We are so lucky to have her as a part of our classroom community!
Evelyn Gilbert: Evelyn is diligent, hardworking, generous, and incredibly helpful. She works to be respectful, responsible and safe all throughout each and every day. Her teacher knows that she can depend on Evelyn to produce quality work, participate in classroom discussions, and to do the right thing. Her forethought and dedication to her education will continue to serve her well.
Myles Dancer: Myles shows his ROARS by being helpful, responsible and kind to others. Thank you for being you!
Livia Ogle: Livia is a great friend and student. She is a master of showing her ROARS everyday. She is helpful and fun! Thank you for being a GREAT STUDENT!!!
Braden Gillock: Braden shows his ROARS every single day. He is a leader inside of the classroom and out of it. Braden gives 100% on all assignments, and is a good classmate to all.
Chloe Weiler: Chloe is a wonderful student. She is kind to her classmates and always follows her ROARS by doing her best in school and respecting others. We are so lucky to have her as part of our class!
Lilyana Reinsmith: Lilyana is a kind. patient, and helpful student who sets a good example for her peers. She pays attention and follows directions. Lilyana works hard and does her best with every task and assignment. Thank you for being a model 5th grader, Lilyana!
Quynten Sanders: Quynten is a very hard working student. He is always giving his best effort and trying to improve on his work daily. He is a kind and thoughtful classmate who encourages those around him.
Ben Lippert: Ben is looked up to in class both literally and figuratively. Ben is constantly seen making wise choices, and setting the standard for what a fifth grade student should be. He's been observed many times on choosing to read silently instead of talk, or making sure his work is done with excellence.
Carson Raducha: Carson is a model student. He shows his ROARS daily by helping other students, following directions, showing kindness and always doing his best work. Way to go, Carson! We are proud of you.
Bella Peterson: Bella is a kind and caring student. She is always positive and represents everything that we could look for in a "great student". Her teacher is happy to nominate her for the student of the month. She is one of the best students that I have had the pleasure of working with. Keep up the amazing work!
Gracie DeRosia: Gracie always has a smile on her face and is ready to work! Even when things become tough for her she continues to face the challenge and put forth her best effort. Gracie is the positive energy in the classroom and always willing to assist where needed. Keep working hard Gracie and continue to follow those ROARS!
Braiden Nentwig: Braiden is always doing his best to help his class. He follows his ROARS, is kind to his classmates, is always engaged in learning and is always willing to help his classmates. Braiden is always willing to try something new and always does his best. Keep up the good work, Braiden!
Harper Hancock: Harper always come to PE with a smile on her face and shows her ROARS. She goes out of her way to help other students in her class and is a great role model. Harper gives 100% effort always and is very helpful to me as well! Way to go Harper!

5th graders had a visit from the Gratiot Strings Association this week in music class to learn about how string instruments work. Students had the opportunity try out a cello or a violin, as well! Thank you to Dr. Caputo and Ms. Chaffee!

Mrs. Adkins and Mrs. Stephens’ 4th grade classes are practicing their knowledge of coordinates by playing a back-and-forth game of Battleship! What a fun idea! I wonder which class will win?

Don't forget to sign up for a Parent Teacher Conference time with your teacher! Teachers have sent out a link with a google form to sign up for a time. Conferences can either be in person or over the phone. Conferences are Thursday, October 6th and Friday, October 7th.

This is an important message in response to the inaccurate rumors being circulated regarding school safety. School safety is a top priority for APS. As announced on September 23rd, a cross department investigation has been completed. There are no student or building concerns.
