Our newest middle schoolers had a great opportunity to get a head start on their transition to middle school during 6th Grade Boot Camp! 💙

Students toured the building, practiced using their locker combinations, and learned more about what to expect as they begin this exciting new chapter. Our teachers and counselor were there every step of the way to answer questions, offer support, and help our students feel comfortable and confident.

We believe this is a wonderful opportunity to make those first days in our building a little easier—and a lot less overwhelming! We can’t wait to welcome our 6th graders back! 🏫✨

Dear DLPMS Families,

As we wrap up another successful school year, we are excited to share some highlights from our Spring NWEA assessment data. Overall, our students demonstrated growth in all subject areas from fall to spring, showing that they are learning and making meaningful progress throughout the year.

We are especially proud to report that DLPMS is now performing in the higher-growth and higher-achievement range across all subject areas. Reading and science continue to be areas of strength for our school, with many students performing well and continuing to improve. Additionally, math showed especially strong growth from winter to spring, reflecting the hard work of our students and staff and the impact of focused instructional support.

These results are a testament to the dedication of our teachers, support staff, and students. Student success is strongest when schools and families work together toward a common goal. We are especially grateful to the parents and guardians who consistently support learning at home, encourage effort, communicate with staff, and reinforce the importance of education. That partnership makes a meaningful difference in student success and helps create the conditions for students to thrive both academically and personally. Individual student NWEA reports will be mailed home with report cards on June 11 so that families can review their child's growth and achievement results.

Throughout this week, we will be sharing four additional graphics—one each day—that will provide a closer look at our spring NWEA data and celebrate the progress our students have made. We hope you will take a few moments to review them and join us in recognizing the growth and accomplishments of our students.

Thank you for your continued support of DLPMS. We are proud of what our students have accomplished this year and appreciate the collective effort it takes to help every child grow. Together, we are building a culture of achievement, growth, and success for all students.

Sincerely,

Jennifer Huntoon, M.Ed., M.A.

Last night, our 8th graders had one final celebration before they begin high school in the fall! 🐾🎉 Thank you to all the family, friends and supporters who came out and made this evening so special for our awesome students! We enjoyed a performance by our 7th grade band under the direction of Mr. Newman and the National Anthem performed by our 8th grade choir under the direction of Mr. Cadena. Thank you to AHS Class of 2026 Valedictorian Claire Bloss for delivering Farewell Remarks. It was wonderful to have Claire join us and impart some of her wisdom to our youngest AHS students. The festivities concluded with a dance! 💃🏼🕺

🐾Great work this year, Panthers! Now onto high school!🐾
