Any 7th & 8th grade students interested in running Track this Spring, there will be an informational meeting for students on Tuesday, March 22nd during morning advisory. Please bring your chrome book. Practice will start after spring break. You will need to have a physical form on file to participate.

The south entrance of the Athletic Rotunda is now accessible. Students will be allowed to exit and enter through the rotunda both after school today and for tonight's 7th and 8th grade dance.

Our 7th & 8th Grade Dance is tonight!! From 6:30 - 8:30 p.m. in the Middle School Cafeteria. The cost is $5, concessions will be available to purchase. Please make sure your parent is at the school by 8:30 to pick you up. In order to attend you must be in school all day, unless you have a pre-approved absence from Mr. O’Neill. If you have been in In School Suspension or Out of School Suspension the week of the dance, you will not be able to attend. You must be dress code compliant. All proceeds from the dances go to the Music Boosters to support our music programs. This is NOT a formal dance.

On 3/14 for Pi day students in Mrs.Goffnett’s math classes measured many different sized circles to discover that the ratio of the circumference to the diameter of any given circle is 3.14. Then we all enjoyed circle treats.
The athletic rotunda doors at DLPMS will be temporarily closed due to a construction project.
Until further notice, please drop off / pick up your students at the main office entrance. Students will enter and exit through the main office doors.

8th Grade ELA students recently completed a unit about the Holocaust and read the play, The Diary of Anne Frank. Their culminating assessment of the unit was to create their own diary projects. Here are Mrs. Clark's students' diaries on display in our academic rotunda.

To finish the unit on ancient civilizations in Ms. Seeley's 7th grade social studies classes, students were challenged with creating a Mesopotamian ziggurat marble run. This STEM project was a lot of fun as students competed to make the longest marble track.
The After School Program will be closed on WEDNESDAY, MARCH 9th due to district provided professional development. If your student attends, please make other arrangements.
Mrs. Klein's Morning Advisory had a Skittles/M&M's stacking competition. Students heard the world record for stacking M&M's is 6, so they wanted to see how many they could stack. They found out it is not as easy as it sounds.
Mr. Newman and Ms. Heegeman directed a wonderful middle school concert tonight. All three bands did a great job. 🎶
