2ndPeitsch-Jax Chapman
Jax is a great example of what you should be doing in the classroom. He is always following his ROARS and being kind to everyone. Jax will help anyone who needs it and I can always count on him to be a helper in the classroom. Keep up the great work Jax, we are so proud of you!
Kindel-Clara Soto-Perez
Clara is an excellent example of what a Star Student of the Month should be. She is always caring, kind and respectful to everyone she talks to. She is a great role model to her peers and follows her ROARS every day. We love to have Clara in class and appreciate her hard work. Clara is dependable and tries her best every day, even when things are hard. Keep up the amazing work Clara!
Trefil-Mica Lebron
Mica has earned Star Student of the Month by following his ROARS and always being ready to work. He is respectful of other students and adults. He follows directions the first time they are given and always asks great questions. Mica is helpful around the classroom and loves to be a peer teacher! Mica is an excellent role model for his classmates and always sets a great example of what it looks like to follow your ROARS. Keep working hard, Mica!
Rogers-Mackenna Cardinal
Mackenna is our Star Student of January. Mackenna is always sweet and kind to everyone. She helps out those in need and is friendly to everyone. She tries really hard and works hard in both reading and math. Keep up the great work Mackenna!
Rogers-Leeah Pugh
Leeah sets a wonderful example by following her ROARS. She encourages others to make good choices too. Leeah is always willing to help, even without being asked. I appreciate Leeah's positive attitude!
Wolfe-Charlee Langworthy
Charlee is our Star Student for January! She is always willing to help other students when she gets her work done. She is very responsible and I can count on her for anything. Keep up the great work Charlee!
Music-La'kyiah Hayes (Peitsch)
From the second she comes in the room, La'kyaih is modeling kindness, effort, and her ROARS. She is someone I can always depend on to do her job and she is someone others can look to for a great example. I appreciate her kind heart and self-awareness.

It is an honor to name Julian as our Star Student of the month! Julian has worked incredibly hard to earn this title through his hard work, focus, and determination in the classroom. I am so impressed with the ways that he follows his ROARS and sets a positive example for his peers. His competitive nature and kind and caring nature will take him far in life. Keep doing what you do best, Julian! We are SO proud of you!
Booms-Paizley Snow
Paizley is always working hard in the classroom. She is willing to help anyone that asks or needs help. she is a very positive role model to the other students. She follows directions that are given the first time. She follows her ROARS every day. She shows respect to both her classmates and adults in the classroom. She is willing to answer questions and participate when asked to do something. Every day she comes to class prepared with everything that she needs and ready to learn. I can count on her for anything that I need help with or a classmate needs help with.
Booms-Monse Meza-Soto
Monse is a hard worker who has made a lot of improvements this year. She is always willing to lend a helping hand to others. I appreciate Monse's quiet determination and kind heart.
Carroll-Karterson Noel
Karterson works very hard each and every day. Karterson follows directions, is a great listener, and always gives his best effort in everything that he does. Also, Karterson is reliable, dependable, and trustworthy. He is kind to others and is very respectful to adults. Karterson deserves this honor.
Greiner-Briana Alward
On a daily basis, you'll see Briana follow directions, complete her work, ask and answer questions in class, and always follow her ROARS. I can count on her to always follow her ROARS and be a model for others in our classroom. Briana comes to school each day with a smile on her face and a love for learning something new. Fantastic job Briana!
Lamphere-Ava Chobod
Ava is such a hard worker. Ava always listens, follows directions, and tries her best at everything. She is also kind and respectful to all adults and peers. Ava always shows her ROARS and is a friend to all.
Draher-Aubree Gribben
Aubree works so hard in class. She follows directions and asks questions when she doesn't understand something. She sets a good example for other students. Aubree has also shown so much growth this year already. She is one fabulous student!
PE-Carter Vliet (Draher)
Carter does a great job following his ROARS during PE class. He is a student I can depend on to show respect to others and be responsible. He is full of energy and willing to challenge himself. Keep up the good work, Carter!
This week, our 3rd grade students learned about the M-Step test. We went over the directions and online tools to the test and spent some time looking at sample questions.


The first day of our student talent shows during lunch was a HUGE hit!!!! We have some talent in this building and our students LOVED to show it to their friends!

Vision testing for 3rd grade today! We are thankful that we are able to do this to help identify vision problems with our students!

As we approach single digit temperatures over the next few days, please make sure students are coming to school bundled up!! These are the school guidelines for outside recess.

Based on the information collected in our last survey, there is significant interest in Alma Public Schools offering daycare. Please understand that daycare is different than before and after-school care. Alma Public Schools is moving forward with after-school care options as soon as this year and will provide information as soon as the program is developed. The following survey will help guide us as we continue to listen to the community's needs. Thank you in advance for your participation.
