Due to bus driver illness, students riding bus G will be picked up an hour late today. If your child rides bus G, you will receive a call from the transportation department. We apologize for the inconvenience.

Just a few days left in November!!! November is Homeless Awareness Month and here at Hillcrest, we want to help bring awareness of homelessness and housing insecurity in our communities. That’s why we’re partnering with United Way to raise money for Gratiot County Hope House through a coin war challenge called “Coins for a Cause”! United Way is committed to matching all funds raised (up to $10,000) so now’s your chance to double your donation! Students can bring in their spare change during November. The classroom that raises the most money will win a pizza party from United Way!

Mrs. Lyon's 1st grade class had their own Thanksgiving Parade with ballon floats they designed! Someday we might see these designs on tv for the actual parade!

Mrs. Benjamin's 1st grade class wanted to show how thankful they were to all of our staff members by delivering snacks and making them cards.

We looked all around for Turkeys but they were all in disguise!

3rd graders have been working very hard on their writing and classes have completed a culmination project for the book The BFG!

With Thanksgiving week upon us, elementary Art students are designing floats for the Macy's Parade!

Hillcrest staff had some fun on Friday playing Rock, Paper, Scissors! Some of the classes got in on the fun as well! Congrats to Mrs. Lyon as she reins as the Rock, Paper, Scissors All-Star!!

Students have been going a job all week long for Anti-Bullying Spirit Week! So great to see all the orange and black in the hallways today!!

Student of the Month shirts are finally in!! We are so excited for our September and October All-Stars to get their shirt!!

We love showing off student art work in the hallways, thanks to our K-5 Art Teacher, Ms. Hahn.

We have added new swings out on the playground, thanks to the PTO! Also, thanks to the maintenance department for putting them up for us!

Lots of families at Book Fair Night! Thanks to all the families that are able to come and buy BOOKS for their kids!! Also, LOTS of lost and found items on display!
