He is a friend to everyone and tries very hard at everything that he does. He follows his ROARS and is very respectful to everyone around him. Keep up the great work Eli! Sowders Landen Gerred Landen is our Student of the Month for May. Landen works hard in class to do his best each day. He is a caring and thoughtful student who arrives at school with a smile on his face. Landen is a great helper too. He is always willing to help others. He is a pleasure to have in class! Keep up the great work! Sandro Hayley Sigmon Our Star Student of the Month for May is Miss Hayley Sigmon. Hayley works hard every day to do her best and be her best. She tries to set an example for others by following her ROARS. She is very inquisitive and wants to learn all the time. Congratulations, Hayley! Great job! Trefil/Kindel Sophia Jason Sophia is our May Star Student of the Month. She has been an excellent role model to other friends in the class. Sophia is always eager to learn and try new things even if they are hard. It has been great to see her grow as a learner and to watch her constantly try her very best. Keep up the awesome work, Sophia. We love to see it! Hancock Karterson Noel Karterson is our Star Student of the Month! Karterson works hard every day in the classroom. He comes with a big smile on his face and he is always ready to learn. Karterson is always a great friend to others. He is kind, caring, and so respectful of everyone in the classroom. Congratulations, Karterson! Vozar Leeah Pugh Our Star Student of the Month is Leeah Pugh. Leeah is a wonderful friend and always works hard. She is always willing to help around the classroom or give a hand to a friend. Leeah is an excellent listener and is kind and respectful. We are so proud to have Leeah as our classmate and friend! Her smile brightens each day! Rogers Ava Chobod Ava has a great work ethic and strives to learn. She sets a good example for others by following her ROARS. She demonstrates a lot of perseverance and we have really enjoyed having her this year. Trefil/Kindel Brice Eager Brice always does an amazing job working with others and is a huge role model for our class. Brice always makes sure to try his hardest when we read together as a class. He also is always the first student to lend a hand to his fellow classmates. He is kind and passionate about learning. PE Kennedy Brown (Sandro) Kennedy has a great work ethic. During PE class, she is always pushing herself to improve the skills we are working on. She does a great job listening and following directions. Kennedy is also one of the first to offer to help. Keep up the amazing work, Kennedy! Music Zahra Canning (Vozar) Zahra is always excited and engaged in music class. She is a great model for others as she is always following her ROARS, giving her best effort, and helping others. She often volunteers to show the class what she is working on in her piano classes and to demonstrate a skill we are working on in class. It is so wonderful to have her in class! Way to go, Zahra! 3rd Grade Wickes Addison Bullard I am pleased to announce that Addison is our Star Student of the Month for May! Addison has been a selfless helper in our classroom all year long. She is constantly on the lookout for peers who need additional support, a good buddy, or a helping hand. She does these things without any prompting and with a gentle spirit. Addison has also made academics a high priority this year! She has made exceptional growth in all areas because she simply put her mind to it! Congratulations Addison! I am so proud of you! Russell Braxton Hubbard Braxton Hubbard is our Star Student for the Month for May! Braxton is kind, caring, and hard-working. He has a wonderful smile and always follows his ROARS. He is nice to everyone and is helpful to others. He is a good friend to everyone and treats others the way he wants to be treated. Congratulations Braxton! Faustmann Fernando Barnaby I am so pleased to nominate Fernando as our Star Student of the month. Fernando has recently "stepped up to the plate" demonstrating a good work ethic, as well as being a responsible student. Nando has a kind heart and befriends all his classmates in a positive manner. He is an overall great student. I am so proud of all he has accomplished! Graham Jadyn Cassel Jadyn is a hard worker who has grown in all areas this school year. She does a great job of completing her work on time and then picking up a book to read. She has grown friendships this year and is a sweet young lady. Today is Transition Day at APS, where students get to see their new building at the elementary level! 1st graders will coming over and checking out Hillcrest, and our 3rd graders will be traveling to Pine to see their new school next year!!
