On behalf of everyone at Alma Public Schools, it is with great sadness that I share the news of the passing of our beloved bus driver, Dave Covington, this morning before his route started. He was not only a dedicated bus driver for our daily routes but also played a vital role in transporting our athletes to numerous events over the years.
His commitment, kindness, and presence will be greatly missed by colleagues, students, and all who had the privilege of knowing him. Our thoughts are with his family and friends during this difficult time.
We are in our third year of implementation with our K-5 ELA program, Bookworms. Our students are making great gains as they work on all different aspects of reading and writing daily!

Have you ever wanted to learn where your food comes from and how it’s made? Our After-School Agriculture Club at Hillcrest is the perfect place to start! Yesterday, our outstanding students rolled up their sleeves and learned how to make butter from scratch!
