Pine Avenue Staff Shoutout!!!
Shout out to 4th grade teacher, Mrs. Adams: The amount of time, energy, and effort put in to her teaching is incredible. You can tell that she cares so much about her students and her students love her as a teacher. This year has been a positive experience all around for our student. As a parent, it’s an amazing feeling when you know that the person in charge of your child’s education goes above and beyond in everything that they do. I want Mrs. Adams to know that her great work doesn’t go unnoticed.

Last night, one of our fourth grade students, was a guest speaker at Alma College’s Veteran’s Day event. He spoke of several family members and their various roles in the military as we honored our nation’s veterans last night. Members of the Alma College football team were also in attendance to encourage and support. We are so proud of him for speaking his story to a full room!

This bulletin board is a great visual reminder that each individual is responsible for their own path. 🧡🐾 For our Pine Ave Panthers, learning what we can control and focus on is a large part of social-emotional growth.

Have a great weekend, Panthers!
Students in Ms. June’s class were able to participate in a Flipgrid Live event today with poet, Amanda Gorman. Gorman’s book, Change Sings, was read by Ms. June’s 4th graders and this was a great way to “meet” the author behind the book.

Thanks to Mrs. Horn, GIRESD Nutrition Faciliator, for providing our monthly nutrition lessons! Several of our classes were able to sample fresh peppers today & the rest will be provided that opportunity tomorrow.
