Alma Public Schools

Mrs. Denise Carroll is a 3rd-grade teacher at Hillcrest and has taught for over 28 years.  The favorite part of her job is that she absolutely loves the excitement and enthusiasm that kids bring to school each and every day. Third graders are so enjoyable to work with.  She always looks forward to watching them grow and develop a love for reading each year. Third graders love learning multiplication, therefore, math is a subject she truly enjoys teaching.  In her free time, she loves to read, spend time up north, and spend time with her kids and grandkids. Her family loves to play games and in the summer we love boating, kayaking, paddle boarding, fishing, skiing, and tubing.  The best advice she has ever been given is to build great relationships with students at the beginning of the year. If they know that you care about them, they will be very willing to work hard and try new challenges.
