Panther Pride Project

PANTHER PRIDE PROJECT

Alma Public Schools appreciates the Alma alumni who have launched the Panther Pride Project.  This project will benefit over 400 Alma students each year who would participate or practice on the new turf.  That would include APS Marching Band, Football Program, Cheerleading, Softball, Track and Field, Baseball, Youth PAL Programs, Soccer, Summer Athletic Training, Community Events, and Potential Outdoor Graduations.

What is the Panther Pride Project all about?

At Alma High School, we take great pride in our athletic, cheer, and band departments.  Don Miller Field is one of the top stadiums in the Mid-Michigan area, but our playing/performing field has struggled in inclement weather conditions for several years.

Many schools locally and nationally have switched to an artificial grass playing surface to combat poor field conditions.  The committee and the Alma Public School's Administration, Athletics, and Performing Arts departments agree this is the best option moving forward.

The estimated budget for the field and excavation is $1,000,000.  We believe with contributions from Alma High School and our proud local community; we can raise the necessary funds to provide our students and community with the playing/performing surface they deserve.

For the Panther Pride Project to be successful, it will need the support of not only our
corporate and business community but also our individual community members as well as our strong Alma High School Alumni.  If you wish to contribute to this special project, please make all checks payable to:
