Ms. Masters is a second year teacher at Donald L. Pavlik Middle School, teaching English and Literacy Skills. Her favorite part of teaching is when a student has that "ah-ha!" moment and they realize they ARE capable of learning new things. She likes working for APS and thinks the staff is fabulous and that it is a very positive and supportive environment.
In her spare time, she loves to read, write, play the flute, sing, and play with her dog, Fitzgerald.
Something you might not know about Ms. Masters is that in her previous career in business management, she was once the boss of a former NBA player.
The best piece of advice she has been given is "In order to achieve real personal growth, you have to reach a point where the pain and frustration of staying the same outweighs the pain and frustration of changing. "
