Please read this message, from Sarah Manley, one of our 8th grade parents helping to plan Celebration for our 8th graders. 8th Grade Celebration is June 5th at 6:30pm with a Dance following: We are having an 8th grade "celebration" dance after the ceremony in June and it is parent/ family funded. So far there are only 3-4 families that have reached out to help. We are having a Hawaiian theme. Pizza Cupcakes (sponsored) Water tok bar Photo booth Decorating the cafeteria Other snacks And hopefully a momento for each student. The parents are in charge of taking care of it, with the school providing the DJ. We are hoping families can come together to sponsor these things for our kids and give them a great send off! Would any family or friend be up to donating to the DLPMS 8th grade celebration dance fund? Anything is appreciated! Please contact Sarah Manley 989-533-9503 everonederwhy@yahoo.com Venmo is available or PayPal. Just ask!

Thank you to all the families that came out and participated in our scavenger hunt! We enjoyed spending time with you and your family!
Tomorrow Night!!!

The sixth graders had an opportunity to learn a technique to safely view the solar eclipse by creating and testing pinhole projectors! Pinhole projectors allowed early scientists to view the shapes of illuminated objects, like the sun, by shining the light from the object through a tiny hole, projecting the image of the object onto the ground, wall, or other flat surfaces. We safely viewed this spectacular event during the solar eclipse by projecting it on the classroom floor, countertops, and student binders!

JOIN US! April 12th!!

Last fall, our 8th grade students at DLPMS participated in the VFW Patriot’s Pen Essay Contest. The theme was “How are you inspired by America?” We had several finalists – with Kennedy Sparks placing at the district level! Nice job Panthers!
The 2024 DLPMS Field Day will be on June 3rd! In order for students to participate, they cannot have an Out of School Suspension or two or more In School Suspensions between April 1st and May 31st.
We also need PARENT VOLUNTEERS!! If you are able to help, please fill out this short Google Form: https://forms.gle/6eNRtQAigBcZ6BR29

Please see the letter that was emailed today, regarding upcoming testing dates.
