The 7th and 8th grade dance will be March 18th, from 6:30 - 8:30 p.m. in the Middle School Cafeteria. The cost is $5, concessions will be available to purchase. Please make sure your parent is at the school by 8:30 to pick you up. In order to attend you must be in school all day, unless you have a pre-approved absence from Mr. O’Neill. If you have been in In School Suspension or Out of School Suspension the week of the dance, you will not be able to attend. You must be dress code compliant. All proceeds from the dances go to the Music Boosters to support our music programs. This is NOT a formal dance.

To finish the unit on ancient civilizations in Ms. Seeley's 7th grade social studies classes, students were challenged with creating a Mesopotamian ziggurat marble run. This STEM project was a lot of fun as students competed to make the longest marble track.

Mrs. Klein's Morning Advisory had a Skittles/M&M's stacking competition. Students heard the world record for stacking M&M's is 6, so they wanted to see how many they could stack. They found out it is not as easy as it sounds.




Mr. Newman and Ms. Heegeman directed a wonderful middle school concert tonight. All three bands did a great job. 🎶



Our DLPMS Band concerts are tomorrow night! 6th grade at 6:30pm and 7th/8th grade at 7:15. Both concerts will be held in the AHS Auditorium.

To launch their Cellular Biology Unit, 7th graders created whiteboards that displayed what their group thought makes something "living" or "nonliving." 7th graders then presented their arguments and rewrote their definitions of "life" after seeing what their peers shared.


6th graders put continents together like puzzle pieces to display Pangea. Students colored fossil patterns to provide more evidence that our continents used to all be one large supercontinent.

Debates were held in Mrs. Master's Reading/Writing Workshop. They had several days to come up with their arguments and do research to find information that supported their point of view. They also spent some time thinking about why others might disagree with them and what points or research they might use to prove the opposite points in order to prepare for a rebuttal.




7th Grade Health students wrapped up their lesson on stress by playing the "Potholes" game. Students pair up to navigate a road with potholes while one is blindfolded.
