On behalf of everyone at Alma Public Schools, it is with great sadness that I share the news of the passing of our beloved bus driver, Dave Covington, this morning before his route started. He was not only a dedicated bus driver for our daily routes but also played a vital role in transporting our athletes to numerous events over the years.
His commitment, kindness, and presence will be greatly missed by colleagues, students, and all who had the privilege of knowing him. Our thoughts are with his family and friends during this difficult time.

What happens when you challenge sixth graders to complete the impossible puzzle? They rise to the occasion and get it done!! Kudos to ALL the students who helped make this happen. (Some students are not pictured) We may have lost one piece of the puzzle along the way. Have no fear, they also created a replacement piece from some left over cardboard! Gotta love the dedication and creativity!

Alma Public Schools is committed to providing students with safe, supportive learning environments that promote growth and achievement. The Board of Education is introducing a bond proposal on the May ballot, seeking $29.9 million to fund critical facility upgrades, technology improvements, and safety enhancements — all without increasing the current millage tax rate. This proposal invites the community to invest in student success and ensure that Alma schools remain a strong, future-ready foundation for generations to come.
