The District Staff Spotlight for this week is Allison Wing, a Title 1 Instructional paraprofessional at Hillcrest Elementary.
Mrs. Wing really enjoys working in the classrooms, it lets her get to know all the kids in the class, not just the kiddos she works with. She loves watching the students grow academically throughout the year and seeing those “ah ha moments.” "Hillcrest really is the best!" she says and is so grateful to be a part of Hillcrest. The staff rocks!!
Her husband and her have 3 kids who are very active in sports. You will find them on any field or court watching our kids play the sports they love; whether it’s baseball, softball, basketball, football, soccer or volleyball they will be there cheering them on! She also enjoy running with a group of ladies every morning before work. When they go north, you’ll find her on the beach looking for rocks. She also have a beagle, named Lola.
She has ran two half marathons (And liked it!) and she can bake or cook just about anything, but she cannot grill to save my life!
The best advice she ever received is from her 90 year old Grandma, “Stay young as long as you can, and enjoy all these moments with your kids while you are young.”
