On Monday, September 16, we will have our Annual Title 1 Information Night at 6 pm at Pine Ave. Directly after that, we will have our September PTO Meeting as well! Come learn about all the great programs we have for our students and stay to become part of a great organization!

3rd Grade parents signed the form for the field trip form this past week and we need all 1st and 2nd-grade parents to fill it out by Tuesday for our Field Trip to Alma College. Each 1st and 2nd grader will be coming home today with their PowerSchool Login form.

During our Professional Development this morning, Superintendent Stacey Criner, led all of the elementary staff through different activities and learning through the book, Choice Words.



Next week is one of the best weeks of the year, HOMECOMING SPIRIT WEEK! We can show off our school spirit all week long!

Tomorrow is the day that our 3rd graders get to go on an unforgettable field trip to the Silver Lake Sand Dunes to learn more about our wonderful state and its geography! Thank you to the PTO for helping to fund this trip!




We wrapped up another GREAT week at Camp Hillcrest! Please make sure to look at the information regarding the APS Permission Slip Form for Field Trips on PowerSchool. 3rd Graders must have this completed before the Tuesday Field Trip.

Our MTSS Coordinator, Mrs. Dow, is helping to teach lessons in class to students about making sure to follow their ROARS in the classrooms!

Next Wednesday, September 11th, is our first Late Start Day of the year. Hillcrest will officially begin school at 11:38 am.
Supervision will begin at 11:08 and students will enter the building at 11:33 am.
Students will have the opportunity to eat lunch in their rooms.

A huge thank you to Aludyne for the donation of school supplies!! We are so thankful for the support of our community!

Today, students at Hillcrest reviewed the expectations for following their ROARS on the bus and during lunch.

At the end of every month, we have a Birthday Book Club where each student that had a birthday during the month gets a book! Thanks to PTO for helping to fund this awesome program!



Mrs. Hancock teaches our new elementary special, Social Emotional Learning. She is doing a tremendous job teaching our students about teamwork, self confidence, and managing our emotions, along with many other important concepts for our students to learn!




We have started working on our curriculum and 3rd graders are reading the book Owen Foote during Shared Reading.
