November is Homeless Awareness Month, and Pine Avenue wants to bring awareness of housing insecurity and homelessness within our communities. We are partnering with United Way to raise money for Gratiot County Hope House through a coin war challenge called “Coins for a Cause”!
United Way is committed to matching all funds raised (up to $10,000), so now’s your chance to double your donation! Students can bring in their spare change during November. The classroom that raises the most money will win a pizza party from United Way!

Everyone loves Book Fair Week at Hillcrest! Every student gets at least one book thanks to PTO!!

On Thursday, November 9th the Middle School staff and students will be walking over to the High School to watch the Drama Department play "Fiddler on the Roof". Please read this letter from Mrs. Huntoon regarding details.

As our 2nd graders are learning about the community, they had a Career Day today where six community members came in and talked to the students about their profession! Students were able to pick which ones they went to! What a great experience!!Thanks to the community members!!

Congrats to the boys cross team for winning regionals and heading to the state meet as a team. Ezgi Kurt & Joy Evans qualified for the state meet on the girls side. Girls team placed 4th.

Students at Pine Avenue will be celebrating Halloween with a Costume Parade and Class Party.

Behind successful teams are many unsung heroes! APS Bus Driver, Dave, is a great example of that! He is one of the biggest Panther fans and is always willing to help get our teams to and from games! Thanks Dave!!!

Please don't be alarmed we had multiple police cars and an ambulance respond to a medical need at Luce Road ECLC. The concern has been addressed and regular routines have resumed.

Regional Champions! Congrats boys soccer team!
