Good Afternoon, APS Community! *FYI* - There will be an active shooter training conducted by the Alma Police Department on Wednesday, June 28th and Thursday, June 29th from 7am - 6pm at Donald L. Pavlik Middle School. There will be an increased presence of first responders in the area but please do not be alarmed as this is a planned event! First responders from MSP, AFD, EMS, Isabella County Sheriff, Gratiot County Sheriff, Lansing PD, and Gratiot County Police Departments will be present. Please join us on Thursday, May 18th at 5:00pm in the Middle School Media Center for this question and answer meeting.

A big CONGRATULATIONS to Mrs. Aylor, preschool teacher at Luce Road! Mrs. Aylor has been recognized by Saginaw Valley State University and the MiSTEM Network – East Central Michigan Region for her contributions to STEM education! “She works magic in her classroom with all she does revolving around engineering, math, science, and technology. Her classroom features a makerspace where students are encouraged to use recycled and found materials to create and engineer whatever their brain can imagine.” Mrs. Aylor was presented with a 3-D printed STEM Stars keepsake that was designed by SVSU’s Cardinal Solutions and produced by the university’s independent testing laboratory. Way to go Mrs. Aylor! A well deserved award!
