Congrats to our 2nd Grade All-Star Students of the Month! Peitsch-Natalie Goodhall Natalie is a second-grade rockstar! She is so kind and a very hard worker! If you come into our classroom you will see Natalie setting a great example and following her ROARS. She has a positive attitude every day and treats others the way she wants to be treated. Keep up the great work!! Pineiro-Esperanza Sanchez Esperanza is a great student! She is so helpful and kind and is always willing to help share an answer or idea! I am so proud of her and everything she has accomplished this year. Keep being amazing! Kindel-Samuel Fuller Sammy is our All-Star Student for December. He has become such a hard worker and a student you can depend on in any situation. Sammy has a love for school and being the best that he can be. Sammy has been working hard to achieve his goals, and having good days every day! We are so proud of you Sammy, and love to watch you grow. Keep up the fantastic work, Samuel! Trefil-Rhys Pekich-Bundy Rhys has done an excellent job following his ROARS. He is helpful to others and to the sub. Rhys is kind and always gives his best at everything he does. Keep working hard, Rhys! Rogers-Lyra Hall Lyra is an excellent student. She is so helpful and follows her ROARS. I can always count on her for great answers and contributions to class discussions. She is a great role model and other students look up to her. Keep up the great work Lyra. Wolfe-Addison Warner Addison has done a fantastic job following her ROARS. Congrats to our 1st Grade All-Star Students of the Month 1st Grade Benjamin-Samara Howe Samara is a true all-star student! She is kind, hard-working, and ALWAYS follows her ROARS. Samara is someone who models ROAR behavior with her actions and kindness. She is a great friend to others and always willing to help do things around our classroom! I am so proud of you Samara for being a super student and love that you are in my class! Keep up the great work! Elsea-Peyton Butcher Peyton is a very kind and thoughtful All-Star. She works hard, is a great listener, and is a great friend to all of her peers. I can always count on Peyton to be following her ROARS. I am honored to have Peyton in my class. Thank you for being such a great role model Peyton. Gage-Amaya Guerrero Amaya is a kind, funny, and hard-working student. She goes above and beyond in everything that is asked of her. She is a friend to each one of her peers. She leads by example, following her ROARS constantly. She shows respect, responsibility, and safety. I am proud to have her as a student in my classroom. Great job Amaya! Guild-Hubbard-Braysen Wonch Braysen is a curious learner who is always asking questions and wants to know more about whatever topic we are covering in class. He is a diligent learner who will put his head down and work hard to achieve his personal goals. Braysen listens attentively and makes a solid effort to avoid distractions. He's a positive addition to our classroom environment. Lambert-Lincoln Hagerman Lincoln is truly an all-star. He comes into school every day with a positive attitude and always puts forth his best effort. I know I can count on him to show his ROARS both in and out of the classroom. He is a helpful hand to those around him and a friend to all. Keep up the great work Lincoln. Thanks for being such a great All-Star! Langworthy-Forrest Gifford Forrest is a vibrant & energetic boy. He loves school & learning! Forrest is very encouraging to classmates during learning, he always is the first to cheer someone on when they need a little help. He continually follows his ROARS in & outside of the classroom! Thank you, Forrest, for being an All-Star every day, we are so PROUD to have you in our classroom family. Keep up the hard work! Lyon-Emily Doolittle Emily is the ultimate teammate! She does a swell job showing her ROARS throughout the whole building and encourages her team to do the same. Emily will often volunteer to take on any task and is always willing to help others. In the classroom, she is eager to learn and always tries her best. Emily does well learning from her mistakes and takes pride in her work. I have enjoyed encouraging Emily to be the best she can be and observing her kind and caring nature. First grade classes went to Dalis to the Rescue and delivered supplies that were donated. What a great way to get in the spirit of giving!!

Our 2nd and 3rd graders were treated to an author visit today from Susan Collins Thoms as she talked about her book, The Twelve Days of Christmas in Michigan! What a great experience for our students!!

Congrats to our 3rd Grade All-Star Students of the Month! https://youtu.be/RyykUHBz6cA 3rd Grade Wickes-Anniston Snearey Anniston has been our classroom MVP this month! This girl works exceptionally hard and is always following her ROARS. When it comes to "getting in the game" and participating in class, Anniston is always there to contribute her thoughts or an answer to a question. It's been a pleasure to watch this young lady grow this year! I can't wait to see her finish the second half of the year just as strong! DeJong-Owen Spegal Owen is our student of the month! Owen has done a great job following his ROARS! He is kind, helpful, and supportive of his classmates. He is quick to offer an encouraging word or to offer a helping hand. Owen is a leader in our classroom and always sets a good example for his classmates. Keep it up, Owen! Faustmann/Carroll-Zak Ogle Zak has definitely earned being the All-Star Student of the Month. We can depend on Zak to always follow the ROARS. He follows directions, works independently, and always gives his best effort on whatever he does. Zak is very kind and considerate of others and will help anyone in need. Zak is an outstanding role model for our class! Greiner-Callie Beeson Callie is our All-Star student of the month for November! Callie has done a fantastic job this Fall and this past month following her ROARS. She is a leader within the classroom and a friend to all. Callie is very helpful and kind to all students at Hillcrest. I can always count on Callie to participate, help others, and bring a positive attitude to school each day! Fantastic job Callie! Lamphere-Ally Edlinger Ally is our student of the month! Ally is a very kind and caring classmate. Ally shows her ROARS every day and sets a great example for her peers. She always works hard and tries her best. Keep up the great work! Lamphere-Lincoln Litwiller Lincoln is a prime example of a student who follows their ROARS. He works hard and does not give up, even when things are difficult. Lincoln is a quiet leader who sets a good example for others to follow. I appreciate Lincoln for what he brings to the team! PE-Allison Maybee (Faustmann/Caroll) The PE Student of the Month goes to Allison! She brings a positive attitude to class. Allison does a great job leading by example, her extra effort doesn’t go unnoticed! She follows her ROARS and is accepting of all her classmates. Keep being awesome!

Guild-Hubbard-Kiley Godfrey Kiley is the happiest person in our class every day. No matter what has happened, her bright smile is missed when she's gone. She is helpful and thoughtful of both students and teachers. She's kind and loving! ---Way to go Kiley!!! Lambert-Maria Christensen Maria is doing a great job in first grade. She does a great job of showing her ROARS on the daily. She is a helping hand to her classmates and always participates in classroom discussions. It has been a joy having Maria in our classroom. Great job Maria! Langworthy-Rowyn Snyder Rowyn is a kind, caring, & responsible boy. He is always helping keep our room clean & tidy. He also is kind & friendly to all classmates. He tries his best at all times & loves learning. He is a great example to all, as he is always following his ROARS! We are lucky to have him in our classroom family! Lyon-Marlee Fink Marlee is a master of showing ROARS every day! No matter the subject or time of day, he is engaged with whatever we are learning. He also has a great sense of style that he uses to make connections between home and school. Although he possesses a laid-back demeanor, friends know they can count on him for help. Marlee is an excellent model that teammates can look to if they need to be reminded of what it looks like to respect others, act responsibly, and be safe. Thank you for being an amazing teammate Marlee, I appreciate you! Lambert-Jasmine Welch Jasmine always comes ready to work and with a smile on her face. She always makes sure that she is following her ROARs and MAC in the classroom. When the work is challenging she always takes it on with a smile. She really is someone who sets a good example for others. Art-Amelia Gulick (Elsea) Amelia is always a great role model for her peers. She always follows her ROARS and is respectful and friendly to those around her. She is also a great "teacher" when others need help. I know I can count on her to help when needed. Amelia, keep being creative and an AMAZING artist!

You rock! Trefil-Maycee Dancer Maycee is a hard worker and always willing to help others. This month she has been extra helpful with our sub! She follows her ROARS and always does her best. She asks great questions and always participates. Keep being a great classmate and friend, Maycee! I am so proud of you. Rogers-Jayden Fisher Jayden is an AWESOME student. He is always following directions and getting his work done. He gives 100% effort all of the time and I can count on him to help others when they need it. He participates in class discussions and adds great conversation to our class work. He always is following our ROARS and I can count on him to always do his job! Keep up the great work Jayden! Wolfe-Journey Guernsey Journey is our All-Star Student for November. Journey is a hard worker and always helps others around her. I always look forward to our conversations about books, animals, or jewelry. Keep up the excellent work, Journey! Peitsch-Christopher Davis Christopher has been working very hard in our small groups. He continues to practice his ROARS. He has a wonderful sense of humor and is empathetic. He really cares about his friends and other students. Pineiro-Deaire Depriest Deaire is a great kid to have in any class. He always follows his ROARS and is very respectful and friendly to every student he comes across. He tries his best every day and always has a smile on his face. His positive attitude sets a great example for others and I'm so happy to have him in class. Music-Tawona Store (Wolfe) The music student of the month is Towana Store. She always comes to class ready to learn, sing, and play all of our songs. I notice she is always willing to help those around her. I can always count on her to follow her ROARS. She is an amazing example for others and her hard work is always appreciated!

Students completed our first Tornado Drill of the year. They did a great job of following their ROARS during the drill and are now prepared in the case of a real tornado.
