The sixth graders had an opportunity to learn a technique to safely view the solar eclipse by creating and testing pinhole projectors! Pinhole projectors allowed early scientists to view the shapes of illuminated objects, like the sun, by shining the light from the object through a tiny hole, projecting the image of the object onto the ground, wall, or other flat surfaces. We safely viewed this spectacular event during the solar eclipse by projecting it on the classroom floor, countertops, and student binders!

We love when we get to have PE class outside!!!

Alma students visiting Hamburg & Berlin.

Pine Panthers had a wonderful learning experience observing the Solar Eclipse. Thank you PTO for your dedication to our students.

State testing this week at AHS!

Parents, please remember that the maximum coverage of the Eclipse will occur during Pine's dismissal. For the safety of all our students and staff during the Eclipse, bus students will be brought out at the bell, followed by pick-up and walkers. Students will observe the Eclipse with their teachers until the bell rings. Due to the change in visibility, we ask for patience and careful driving. Parents are encouraged to park their vehicles at dismissal and enjoy this wonderful experience with their children.

Alma Public Schools officially broke ground on the Panther Pride Project at a ceremony held at the Don Miller field on Wednesday, April 3rd. This event marked the beginning of an alumni-led fundraising initiative designed to enhance the APS High School outdoor athletic complex by introducing turf to the Don Miller field. Notably, this upgrade represents the first major renovation to the grass field since the opening of the Alma High School building in 1970. Despite serving Alma Public Schools for over five decades, this transformation is a long-awaited improvement set to benefit the community for years to come.
Ms. Rowley and students from AHS’ Chamber Choir are on their way to New York City to perform at David Geffen Hall in the Lincoln Center. Safe travels! 🎶
