☀️SUN Meals (formerly Meet Up & Eat Up) Summer Food Service Program Info☀️

🧡This summer, Alma Public Schools is providing meals through the SUN Meals (formerly Meet Up and Eat Up) Summer Food Service Program. This USDA-supported initiative offers free, healthy meals to all children and teens 18 and under (or up to age 26 for adults with disabilities)—no registration, paperwork or ID required.

SUN Meals To Go:
☀️Alma High School
--> Tuesdays 11 am to 1 pm
☀️Seville Township Library in Riverdale
--> Wednesdays 11 am to 1 pm

⭐The Alma High School Marching Band will be performing the National Anthem at the Detroit Tigers baseball game at Comerica Park on Tuesday, September 8! 🐾We would like to invite the community to the game to support the AHS band and the Tigers as they take on the Minnesota Twins. Game time is 6:40 and the band’s National Anthem performance will be around 6:20. Tickets are $29.43 (This amount includes all fees and a small donation that goes back to support the band.)⭐

🐾Go Panthers! Go Tigers!🐾

⭐We have a group of tickets reserved in section 149 & 150 near where the band will be sitting that provides you with a good view of the band as we play the anthem. We encourage you to purchase your tickets through our FEVO link at:

These 17 Panther student-athletes have been working hard this summer to prepare for basketball season! 🐾🏀 They have participated in weightlifting/speed and agility workouts, daily practices and four different team shootouts at Alma College, Ithaca, Cadillac and SVSU. Varsity Boys Basketball Head Coach Chris Brown says: "Our commitment level is extremely high and we’ve shown strong improvements so far this offseason." 💪

We can't wait to cheer the team on during the season! Great work, Panthers!🐾🏀

🌟ATTENTION PARENTS OF INCOMING APS 6TH GRADERS:

We are offering 2 sessions of your choice until we reach capacity. Currently, over 60% of the incoming class has signed up to join us for 3 fun and informative days in August. Students will have the opportunity to get comfortable with their schedule, practice unlocking a combination lock, learn the expectations at the middle school, meet several of their teachers, work with their guidance counselor, participate in some fun activities with their friends and overall get comfortable in their new building.

Boot camp starts at 9:00 am for three days, students may arrive by 8:50 and can be picked up at 2:00 pm. 100% of last years' participants feel that this experience led them to be more focused and successful in their transition to middle school!🐾

🌟Registration will close on Tuesday, June 30.🌟
