DLPMS: Mrs. Goward's Sixth Grade Health class welcomed Mrs. Lily Boutwell, SNAP-Ed Coordinator for the RESD to learn more about nutrition. For the next six weeks various topics such as MyPlate, reading food labels, healthy snacks, and fast food will be explored. The best part of the class is taste testing different fruits and vegetables. So far our sixth graders have enjoyed sugar snap peas and dragon fruit!

At DLPMS: Mrs. K, our school counselor, did an amazing lesson with the 6th-grade students. Students shared things about middle school that they were worried about in 5th grade and discussed how much success they have experienced so far this school year. They talked about their future selves and the goals they hope to achieve. The lesson ended with a game to practice listening and cooperation skills. Thank you for visiting Mrs. K!
