A couple of our 3rd grade classes were able to an activity at Alma Public Library today in partnership with Alma College.
The 1st graders have done a GREAT job this week adjusting to life at Camp Hillcrest!!
A group of our seniors will be appearing on WNEM TV5 Wake-Up at 6 A.M. on Friday, August 23rd.
If you miss the 6 A.M. Cold Open, don't worry, we will also be airing the clip of them again at 6:30 A.M.

Our certified and non-certified staff gathered together on Thursday, 8/15/24 for their first Professional Development sessions of the new school year! Linda Kell, Leadership Development Consultant with Wayne RESA, gave a powerful presentation focusing on building trauma-informed resilient schools. Our certified staff also engaged in a presentation by the APS administrative team focusing on instructional strategies to improve test scores across the district.

Thursday 8/8
The 6th graders are focused on team building activities. The students had to work together to "walk" from one side of the blacktop to the other. With positive attitudes and great communication skills everyone was successful! We also learned to focus our minds and calm our bodies with Tibetan singing bowls.

The 6th graders have had a blast this week getting to know the middle school! Today they completed team building activities like tarp flipping, reviewed our expectations, practiced mindfulness, and played a lot of games! We are ready for this school year to begin!
