On Friday, our CTE Health Science students participated in Join Hands Day! They spent their class time cutting out fabric to be used for assistive devices for patients in hospice and nursing homes. They worked diligently, making neck pillows, clothing coverings and other items. We are impressed with our students’ hard work – but we’re most proud of their kindness and compassion.
Check out this video on our YouTube to see these amazing CTE Health Science students – and don’t forget to give it a “Like” and subscribe to the channel, so you can stay up to date on all things APS!

As part of March Reading Month, National Honor Society members went to our elementary schools and read to the students. They also donated their books to the classrooms.

Classes start April 7 and run 6 weeks (Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6 PM to 9 PM). The cost is $300, which covers material, tools and 12 classes. No prior welding experience is required. Register by April 3. For more information, contact Alicia Crowe at (989) 466-7549 or acrowe@almaschools.net.

"Working at APS is so much more than a job to me. I graduated from Alma in 1996, my wife teaches at AHS and my own children are students at Hillcrest and DLPMS. The relationships I have built with my students, athletes and co-workers are extremely important to me, but when you see a kid you've worked with gain confidence, understanding or success there are few better feelings."
