Friday, March 1st:

Third Graders having a BLAST at CMU at the Michigan History Museum and STEM lab MakerSpace! All classes will be going this week!





At approximately 11:35-11:45, Pine Avenue, DLPMS, and Alma High School went into secure mode under the advisement of the Alma Police Department as they handled a non-school-related matter. Regular schedules have resumed.

A big part of our Shared Reading lessons at the elementary level is Partner Reading. This helps to build reading fluency and reading comprehension.



First grade classes read the book Thunder Cake in class this week as part of their ELA lessons. They were able to bake the cake and eat it as well! Bringing books to life!



A "Band Spectacular" show tonight! Congratulations students on an amazing performance.

Second grade students using response cards as part of their word study in Book Worms Shared Reading lessons!

The AHS Jazz Ensemble Saxophone Section was selected as the 1st Runner-up for Most Outstanding Section in Class B at the CMU Jazz Festival. The AHS Jazz Bands participated in the CMU Jazz Festival on Friday Feb. 9 and had great performances.

Hillcrest students had the experience today of watching a dance performance from Academy of Performing Arts! Many of the dancers were former Hillcrest All-Stars! The students did a great job for following their ROARS while watching!
