DLPMS: Mrs. Goward's Sixth Grade Health class welcomed Mrs. Lily Boutwell, SNAP-Ed Coordinator for the RESD to learn more about nutrition. For the next six weeks various topics such as MyPlate, reading food labels, healthy snacks, and fast food will be explored. The best part of the class is taste testing different fruits and vegetables. So far our sixth graders have enjoyed sugar snap peas and dragon fruit!



Fifth grade scholars at Pine Avenue Elementary went on a field trip to Anderson and Girls Orchard. Scholars made connections to science food chains, creating an ultimate food chain of all the animals at Anderson and Girls.

Congratulations to 3rd grade teacher, Jennie Wickes, who was selected as the Michigan One Community Credit Union Teacher of the Week! This is a well-deserved honor and she is a true ALL-STAR!

DLPMS totals for our Game Day Challenge!! UofM supporters raised $106.65 and MSU supporters raised $109.34. For a total to donate to Child Advocacy of $215.99!! Way to go DLPMS!! What a FUN day 💚🤍🏈💙💛

At DLPMS: Mrs. K, our school counselor, did an amazing lesson with the 6th-grade students. Students shared things about middle school that they were worried about in 5th grade and discussed how much success they have experienced so far this school year. They talked about their future selves and the goals they hope to achieve. The lesson ended with a game to practice listening and cooperation skills. Thank you for visiting Mrs. K!







It's been a championship week at AHS! The Boys Cross Country team is the TVC Champions and the Boys Soccer team won their district! It's great to be a Panther!

At Hillcrest this morning, we practiced our first ALICE Lockdown drill of the year. Students listened to the book "I Am Not Scared, I am Prepared Because I Know ALICE" and then practiced barricading the rooms. The students did a great job with the drill!
