From Hillcrest: We are so excited for our 2nd Parent Teacher Connection night! Although this is different from previous Parent Teacher Conferences, this is a great way for parents to get into our schools and connect with our teachers!! I would like to personally invite you to our Winter Fest Night from 5-7 pm, where we will be having fun "winter-themed" activities all throughout the building! Anyone who attends will get: -Free Student Ticket to Home Basketball Games that Night vs Frankenmuth -Free Adult Ticket to Home Basketball Games that Night vs Frankenmuth -Two Free Popcorns -Enter a drawing to win a $50 gift card at halftime of boys' basketball game After mid-year testing is complete in the next few weeks, teachers will be sending home scores and progress reports about your child. Please remember that all of our teachers are available during their daily planning time, by email, and by Rooms on the district app for any families that would like to communicate with staff.

Congrats to our 3rd Grade All-Star Students of the Month! Wickes-Layna Slater It is such a pleasure to announce Layna as our January All-Star of the Month! Layna always works hard, digs into the tasks she is given, and does her absolute best. This kind and creative young lady also leads by example in our small groups and always has her eyes on her coach. When challenged to "get in the game" and share her thoughts, Layna doesn't back down and always responds with a smile. Layna's hard work is paying off here in third grade! Keep up the fantastic work, Layna! DeJong-La’Kyiah Hayes La'kyiah is our All-Star of the Month! La'kyiah is a hard worker and is always willing to help out a classmate in need. She leads by example with a smile and is always following her ROARS! She is quick to follow directions and participate in classroom discussions. Keep up the amazing work, La'kyiah! Faustmann/Carroll-Jax Chapman It is our pleasure to nominate Jax as our Star Student of the Month. He is a great student who always can be counted on to do the right thing. Jax follows his ROARS every day and is well-respected by his peers. He is a classroom helper for whatever needs to be done. Jax is a "hard worker". He is an independent learner and puts a lot of effort into his studies. We are so proud of this young man! Greiner-Nolan Cole Nolan is our All-Star for December! Each day Nolan participates, follows directions, asks questions for clarification, and shows his ROARS throughout the whole day. Keep up the great work Nolan and keep being the All-Star that you are! Lamphere-Rhys Hayward Rhys is our All-Star of the Month! Rhys is a hard worker and always tries his best. He shows his ROARS in the classroom every day. Rhys has a positive attitude and treats others with respect. Keep up the great work! Wickes-Skyler Beard Skyler does a wonderful job following his roars in our small group and throughout the building. He participates and completes his work. He loves to share ideas and contributes to our group. We appreciate Skyler's hard work! Greiner-Januarie Burns Januarie is a thoughtful, kind, and caring friend to others. She has a huge heart and loves to help out! Jan shows her ROARS daily by being respectful to both her teachers and her classmates. I know I can always count on Januarie to make good choices. Greiner-Grayson Stahl Grayson always comes into the classroom ready to work. He represents his roars by being respectful and responsible. He is someone for other students to look up to and has shown outstanding growth this year. PE-Hudson O’Boyle (Lamphere) Hudson is our PE student of the month. He does a great job following his ROARS. Hudson is always actively participating and showing good sportsmanship during games. He is polite and respectful to others in class. Congrats to our 2nd Grade All-Star Students of the Month! Peitsch-Natalie Goodhall Natalie is a second-grade rockstar! She is so kind and a very hard worker! If you come into our classroom you will see Natalie setting a great example and following her ROARS. She has a positive attitude every day and treats others the way she wants to be treated. Keep up the great work!! Pineiro-Esperanza Sanchez Esperanza is a great student! She is so helpful and kind and is always willing to help share an answer or idea! I am so proud of her and everything she has accomplished this year. Keep being amazing! Kindel-Samuel Fuller Sammy is our All-Star Student for December. He has become such a hard worker and a student you can depend on in any situation. Sammy has a love for school and being the best that he can be. Sammy has been working hard to achieve his goals, and having good days every day! We are so proud of you Sammy, and love to watch you grow. Keep up the fantastic work, Samuel! Trefil-Rhys Pekich-Bundy Rhys has done an excellent job following his ROARS. He is helpful to others and to the sub. Rhys is kind and always gives his best at everything he does. Keep working hard, Rhys! Rogers-Lyra Hall Lyra is an excellent student. She is so helpful and follows her ROARS. I can always count on her for great answers and contributions to class discussions. Congrats to our 1st Grade All-Star Students of the Month 1st Grade Benjamin-Samara Howe Samara is a true all-star student! She is kind, hard-working, and ALWAYS follows her ROARS. Samara is someone who models ROAR behavior with her actions and kindness. She is a great friend to others and always willing to help do things around our classroom! I am so proud of you Samara for being a super student and love that you are in my class! Keep up the great work! Elsea-Peyton Butcher Peyton is a very kind and thoughtful All-Star. She works hard, is a great listener, and is a great friend to all of her peers. I can always count on Peyton to be following her ROARS. I am honored to have Peyton in my class. Thank you for being such a great role model Peyton. Gage-Amaya Guerrero Amaya is a kind, funny, and hard-working student. She goes above and beyond in everything that is asked of her. She is a friend to each one of her peers. She leads by example, following her ROARS constantly. She shows respect, responsibility, and safety. I am proud to have her as a student in my classroom. Great job Amaya! Guild-Hubbard-Braysen Wonch Braysen is a curious learner who is always asking questions and wants to know more about whatever topic we are covering in class. He is a diligent learner who will put his head down and work hard to achieve his personal goals. Braysen listens attentively and makes a solid effort to avoid distractions. He's a positive addition to our classroom environment. Lambert-Lincoln Hagerman Lincoln is truly an all-star. He comes into school every day with a positive attitude and always puts forth his best effort. I know I can count on him to show his ROARS both in and out of the classroom. He is a helpful hand to those around him and a friend to all. Keep up the great work Lincoln. Thanks for being such a great All-Star! Langworthy-Forrest Gifford Forrest is a vibrant & energetic boy. He loves school & learning! Forrest is very encouraging to classmates during learning, he always is the first to cheer someone on when they need a little help. He continually follows his ROARS in & outside of the classroom! Thank you, Forrest, for being an All-Star every day, we are so PROUD to have you in our classroom family. Keep up the hard work! Lyon-Emily Doolittle Emily is the ultimate teammate! She does a swell job showing her ROARS throughout the whole building and encourages her team to do the same. Emily will often volunteer to take on any task and is always willing to help others. In the classroom, she is eager to learn and always tries her best. Emily does well learning from her mistakes and takes pride in her work. I have enjoyed encouraging Emily to be the best she can be and observing her kind and caring nature.
