Today was a great day of learning and reflection for our staff! This morning, Building Implementation Teams (BIT) met with our Corwin presenters to plan and provide feedback, and in the afternoon, our teachers were able to continue their learning and work together with their teams!

At APS, we know attendance matters. We encourage students to keep showing up and staying engaged by celebrating every day they join us in the classroom. Celebrate the achievements -- big or small!

Our Elementary Math Team has been working all year to help with successful implementation of our new math curriculum, Bridges. They have been vital to the process of adopting a new curriculum!

Friendly reminder: All APS students will have an early release tomorrow, Friday, April 10.

BIG things are happening in our Alma Campus Agriscience class! We have broken ground on the new barn! This new building will offer students a space that is up to the industry standard with more room for animals and supplies. Plus it gives our students the opportunity to be part of an awesome project!🌾🚜🐓🌽

The Alma Campus Criminal Justice class visited the Gratiot County Courthouse. They were able to sit in on a civil case and several district cases. Students had the chance to ask both judges questions and heard from the clerk, bailiff and prosecutors. This field trip provided students with a look into some of the unique career opportunities that may align with their interests and goals!

Our Alma Elementary PTO is hard at work preparing for their big fundraiser, the annual Fun Run scheduled for May 1! This event is our PTO's only fundraiser. Nearly 100% of the proceeds go directly back into the school.

⭐Teacher appreciation (including gift cards for classroom supplies and team support)
⭐Classroom supplies and enrichment materials

Congratulations to the Alma Campus CTE Student of the Month for April, Emma Verhaar! Emma is a senior in our Health Science Careers Medical Assisting class. Emma is a strong and compassionate leader, and she plans to become an ER nurse after she graduates. Awesome job, Emma!

Attending school every day is the goal, but we know unexpected illness can keep students away from the classroom. Practice healthy habits to prevent sickness. But if your child does get sick and cannot attend school, have a plan! Your child's teacher(s) and other dedicated school staff are here to help.

Today was the LAST day of Spring Break Camp! We had so much fun! Today was Color Wars day!

We made bracelets with colored beads, painted, finished building our robot Legos. In the afternoon we made oobleck, and other colored experiments and finished the day's activities with tie dying cinch sacs!

Day 3 of Spring Break Camp: Pajama Day

Campers came dressed in their comfortable clothes and enjoyed a fun, relaxed day together. They worked on word puzzles, built beds out of Legos, enjoyed popcorn and a movie, and even got outside to play in between the rain. They also started working on their robot car kits.
