The Alma Equestrian Team was the reserved district champions this past weekend! They have moved on to the regional competition September 27-29th.



This week is our first Late Start Day. Lunch will be available for students starting at 11:30am until classes begin at 11:50am. Lunches will be available in the cafeteria and from the cart in the main hallway (like the breakfast cart).

The Alma Equestrian Team has their final district competition this Saturday in Mt. Pleasant. They are hoping to be able to advance on to regionals. The team consists of Annabelle Keller, Sarah Munger, and Emma Verhaar.

Andrew Brasher was elected by the senior class as the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) award recipient. This award recognizes and rewards individuals who possess the qualities of dependability, service, leadership, and patriotism in their homes, schools, and communities. Andrew was nominated by staff and voted on by his classmates.

AHS has started a new program this year to recognize students that respect others, act responsible, and are safe (ROARS). Students can "earn" Panther Bucks by displaying these behaviors and staff recognizes them.

A group of our seniors will be appearing on WNEM TV5 Wake-Up at 6 A.M. on Friday, August 23rd.
If you miss the 6 A.M. Cold Open, don't worry, we will also be airing the clip of them again at 6:30 A.M.

We had a great turnout for the Senior Sunrise this morning! Thanks to Campus Life for the donuts and juice!
The rest of the student body had a great day too.

The first meeting for the Class of 2025 is Friday, August 23rd, at 8:10 a.m. in the auditorium. Students will go over senior year events, college information, and will vote for homecoming court.

Senior, Andrew Brasher, submitted a design for the "I voted" stickers used at election time to the MI Secretary of State's Office. This was part of a project done in Mrs. Eggenberger's class. Andrew is one of the high school finalists. There is online voting to determine which sticker will move on. See the press release and link below:

Public Safety CTE did some practical training today at the St. Louis Area Fire Department's training tower. They were working on fire attack and search and rescue.
