In our new Film Studies course, Mrs. Ricker has had the students create their own silent movie clip and learn how directors alter viewer's reality using special effects.








It's been a championship week at AHS! The Boys Cross Country team is the TVC Champions and the Boys Soccer team won their district! It's great to be a Panther!


Our Panther Marching Band had their last performances of the season. They took 2nd place at Dewitt and finished the day 1st place at Alma College.

Monday, Oct. 9th ~ Early Release Schedule

Mrs. Palmer's Children's Literature class was able to travel to both Luce Rd. and Hillcrest to work with our young Panthers. This was a great experience for our students.








CONGRATS to Soccer Senior Captain, Leo Richter, in setting the career goal scoring record with 81 goals! He had 3 goals tonight in an 8-0 victory over Frankenmuth. Leo also holds the record for goals scored in a season, setting that last season.

AHS 10th graders had the opportunity to attend the MiCareer Quest event at SVSU. they were able to explore different career possibilities.










Today, the LINKS German exchange group is traveling to Dow Gardens, Dahlia Hills, the Tridge, and will have a tour of the Great Lakes Loons baseball stadium.

Mrs. Brown took some of the CTE Health Occupations 2nd year class to MyMichigan Health-Alma to act as patients for their natural disaster drill. Some students simulated being injured and other students simulated being their family members! Students were part of the drill and also took part of the debriefing portion of the drill with hospital staff. The Health Occupations class always enjoys partnering with our local hospital to gain more experience for the students!






Today we got to meet our LINKS exchange group from Germany. Our visitors were able to experience a school day in the USA. They have a busy schedule the next couple of weeks. 🇩🇪🇩🇪🇺🇸🇺🇸

A fire alarm was set off due to dust from concrete work outside the school. Alma FD responded and made sure everything was OK. We appreciate the quick response from both AFD & APD. We're all ready for students to arrive for our Late Start Day.
